"it is strange that two opposites can be so close..."
Makiri shrugged.
"I guess there is always some thing new to discover, and whether it is good or bad, it is still discovery."
A cricket hopped up on the empty window sill and started to chirp. Makiri frowned and snapped his fingers. The little bug lit on fire and it started squirming in pain.
"D*mn noise...all the time."

"Ah irony. Had my share of that too. Like you said, i kill people, but to make myself happy. In doing that though, i am making countless others suffer a great deal. Sometimes i wonder if it's worth it..then i remember i am partially responsible for their happy lives and existence, so i have the right to take it away. 'the lord giveth and the lord doth taketh away'. Well if the lord can do it, why can't i?"

Makiri came in after the encounter with the girl. He was so angry. Just when he thought no one could stop him... she was loaded with holy power and incantations..

Makiri's ship landed carefully near the abandoned hospital. He stepped out, bearing the spoils of the war, his newest form.
He looked like a giant ermine, about as tall as a draft horse and as long as a bus. He stood up, craning his long, elegant neck, his eyes were bright gold and thin shards of black stretched themselves toward the middle of the pupil-lacking centers. Covering his belly, face, and front legs were tiny, plate-like scales that glimmered like mother of pearl and looked like a fish's. His front legs were strong and heavily clawed, and his back ones were thin and elegantly curved. He had no ears but several, feathery gills protruded from his neck at the base of his skull. His long, thick tail served to balance him as he perched. The most striking thing about his new form, however, was the fur covering most of his body. It was soft and long, being starched white with tips of vivid purple and red, giving his lustrous coat a smoky maroon color that shimmered and seemed to move and dance like glowing fire. A thicker coat of this same, captivating fur covered the base of his neck and forelegs and draped itself over his spine, thinning out to a point halfway down his back. He lifted his head high in the air and scented for familiar smells.
He lowered onto all fours. He was looking for humans. In particular, any that had pissed him off recently. That included that soldier he hated and Gabriel. He had been able to remember many of his old techniches when it came to hunting and combat during the war, and now, he would like to put them to use. He shifted his body slightly and his fur started to change. It blended in to his surroundings and concealed any trace of his presence. With this new ability, it would be too late when either of the humans realized what was happening.
He cackled to himself and darted off. He glided over ground and buildings alike. Nothing could slow him down now.
